In this thesis I analysed and designed typical elements of a load-bearing structure of a multi storey masonry residential building in Hrpelje. Thesis consists of two parts, analysis of load bearing capacity of floor reinforced plate and analysis of bearing capacity of brick walls on ground floor. While analysing, I was using limit state design method, ultimate limit state and serviceability ultimate state.
I carried out analysis of reinforced concrete plate with idealised computing model made in Tower programme[10]. Besides dead load and permanent load I considered influence of live load, which is different from position in the building. I carried out control of a load-bearing capacity of walls on ground floor while vertical and horizontal load was acting on them. I was using computer programme for working with tables called MS Excel.
