In master thesis we have studied the changes that are consequences of the reform of
public administration.
In the theoretical part were the factors that affect the reliability of public administration.
In conjunction with the analytical work we have also studied the factors affecting the
changes, which have received public officials and citizens. A comparison was made in the
security of citizens in public administration of Slovenia on the basis of research conducted.
Based on the data obtained in the analytical work have been identified areas, which is
necessary in relation to security in public administration, more attention.
Based on the research, which comprises the study of literature, examining the results of
opinion polls conducted and the findings of the study in the field of security in the Public
Administration of the Republic of Slovenia, they were given suggestions for improvement
and increase reliability.
It was noted that the opinion of the public administration by the citizens relatively
negative, but that public administration in the majority take into account the legitimacy of
the work and effective work, which is reflected in education and training, respecting the
principles of conduct in accordance with the values, responsibility principles and ethical
practices and financial controls.
