For the production of nautical calendar it is crucial to be acquainted with the whole process that occurs in the making. Firstly, in the beginning of the thesis we encounter the history of calendar, its definition and structure. Also there are a few words written about what nautical journal is. Secondly, comparison of electronic and paper planners in general as well as at the sea follows. Future of planners is also mentioned. The second part of the thesis consists of all the steps that are necessary to make a nautical calendar. It starts of with descriptions of idea searching, color choosing, typography, prepress and also the right choice of paper that is going to be used. Binding and plastification of first pages are also discussed. Every program used to complete the project is described as well as the design and look of whole nautical calendar. Lastly, a conversation with my client shows what else could be done or is done well.
