Colours express variety. Without them, life would be literally grey. Each colour has its essential and inessential characteristics and triggers in us a specific psychophysical reaction. A lot has been written about how a specific colour affects a person, and in my thesis, I will go a step further: how colours affect us in the relationship in art works.
In my thesis we will research what colour is, how we perceive it, what psychophysical reaction and symbolism a certain colour has, colour characteristics - essential and inessential, why colours are presented in a colour circle, colour relationships – contrast and harmony, and colour composition in art works thus explaining the effect of the colour combination in artworks on people.
Each theoretical research will be supported and supplemented with art works from famous artists.
