System SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) is a control system whose architecture includes computers, network data communications and graphical user interfaces for process control and supervision. My work at INEA was based primarily on the development of control systems for the chemical, construction and later for the marine industry, which also led to this topic.
My final work consists of two main parts: a description of the software and hardware and the implementation of the supervisory control system on a cruise ship. In the first part, I will concentrate on the software and hardware used, together with the protocols and PLCs that were used in this project.
The main part consists of the chapters that I work with in the project. Animation of the elements in the application, schedules, fuel consumption and reports, and the Silverstream system will be presented. Thus, the reader will first be introduced to what the supervisory control system is at all, and then some interesting things that I worked with everyday.
