Uporaba ročnega risanja in vektorske grafike za ilustracijo otroške knjige

Namen diplomskega dela z naslovom Uporaba ročnega risanja in vektorske grafike za ilustracijo otroške knjige je bil napisati, ilustrirati, oblikovati in izdelati knjigo, namenjeno otrokom. Pri tem sta glavni predmet preučevanja dve sestavini: likovna in literarna, ki sta med seboj tesno povezani, se nenehno dopolnjujeta, prepletata in skozi kateri avtor slikanice izraža svojo zgodbo. Pri njunem odnosu igra ključno vlogo enotnost, kar se doseže z oblikovanjem besedila, ilustracije in vseh ostalih elementov slikanice tako, da tvorijo enovito celoto. Delo se deli na teoretični in praktični del. V teoretičnem delu je definiran pojem slikanice, njen pomen, namen in njena delitev glede na zahtevnostno stopnjo, ustvarjalni postopek in notranjo urejenost. Poseben poudarek je namenjen razmerju med količino likovnega in literarnega dela ter različnim vrstam komunikacije, od katerih je odvisna stopnja interakcije med bralcem in slikanico. Navedena sta vloga in pomen ilustracije v slikanici ter smernice za kakovostno knjižno ilustracijo. Predstavljeno je oblikovanje slikanice in ključna vloga, ki jo ima pri tem izbira ustrezne tipografije. Nazadnje je opisan tudi proces izdelave knjige, v katerega so vključeni grafična priprava, tisk in grafična dodelava. V praktičnem delu je predstavljen proces izdelave avtorske slikanice, od ideje in postopka izdelave ilustracij, do analize likovnega in literarnega dela, formata in črkovne vrste ter oblikovanja parabesedila. Podane so tudi informacije o pripravi datoteke za tisk, tisku in grafični dodelavi končnega izdelka.

Izvleček

The aim of the diploma thesis The use of hand drawing and vector graphic for children’s book illustration, is to write, illustrate, design and create a children’s book. The two main objects of the study are art and literature, entwining and complementing each other. The author expresses their story through them. The key element defining their relationship is unity, which is achieved by designing the text, illustrations and other elements of the book and combining them in to one. The thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines the concept of a picture book, its meaning, aim and difficulty level, the creation process and the internal structure. A special emphasis in given to the ratio between the amount of artwork and text, as well as various types of communication defining the interaction between the reader and the picture book. The role and purpose of illustration in a picture book and the guidelines for a high-quality book illustration are also discussed. The process of designing a picture book and the key role that the suitable typography selection plays in it are presented as well. Lastly, it provides the description of a book production process, which includes prepress, press and post press. The practical part, on the other hand, depicts the process of creation of an author picture book, starting from the idea and the process of illustration, continuing with the analysis of the art and text, determining the format, the typography and the paratext. The information on preparation of files for printing process, press and post press of the final product is also given.
