The Master’s Thesis researches how Slovenian camps are being modernized and spread, and discusses the camping forms in Slovenia as well as over the world. The analysis of Slovenian camps indicates modern campers’ needs and the ways in which these needs are trying to be addressed by the camp owners. A closer look at the camp offer in the Upper Savinja Valley reveals the problem of undiscovered natural resources, insufficient cooperation between the owners, and the serious trouble of an uncontrollable camp upgrading. The major part of the Thesis is devoted to the conceptual design of the Camp Menina, which shows an appropriate spatial arrangement of the camp. It observes the protection of natural spaces and displays source camping, from which modern camps are increasingly drifting away. The solution comes up with various outdoor activities, addressing the needs of the modern camper. The conceptual design provides a basis for a spatial rearrangement of the camp and expansion of the Upper Savinja Valley tourist offer.
