The renovation of the website by the real estate agency Taja-Hiška is based on the knowledge acquired during the studies, and especially the so-called user experience design (UXD) approach; also using its methodology. The latter required conducting a half-structured interview with the owner of the real estate agency and applying the method of a focus group with users (individuals renting the rooms and apartments), hence a qualitative research approach. The renovation has been directed towards the needs of the owner of the real estate agency and the needs of the users. The thesis provides a comprehensive view of the renovation process (including planning of the website with website information gathering, website structure and design; website development including building the website and its integration; website launch and its lifecycle). The previous website was outdated and in need of renovation. When renovating the website basic elements and principles, including e. g. the selection of fonts or composition, have been taken into account. The website was made using WiX allowing designing the webpage with needed characteristics in a relatively simple manner. Thereby no knowledge of programming is needed. The traceability of the work with WiX is also excellent since WiX uses a graphical interface; thus changes are seen immediately. The thesis demonstrates the process of renovation as well as the new website. The aim of the thesis is to produce a useful and functional website using the WiX platform, which was chosen due to its simplicity. The web site will serve as a communication channel to potential customers of the real estate agency.
