Master thesis is focused on area of electric power quality, smart grid and
spread sources in middle-voltage network.
Technology is more and more improved and allows income of new technologies,
which are now key elements of smart grids. It is necessary to set up old and new
technologies as classical power generation units, spread sources,remote measuring
and control.
Firstly there is presented power system as the whole and explained its units
and functioning. Thesis is focused on spread sources presenting the concept of
smart grids, regulation, its losses and how to minimize them. Nowadays more
and more sources are connected to the grid and if there is a large share of them,
they can caused over-voltage problems and therefore the regulation is needed to
keep the voltage in range.
