This diploma study is made out of 2 parts. The first, theoretical part talks about the development of drawings and its connection with motifs in the past and present.
I have researched the role of drawings through history till present day and its motifs.
I have presented the history of drawings and its function through Slovene history, while pointing out a few artists. I dedicated my time to modern drawings, researched its' meanings and presented works from modern artists, as well as observed, which motives are most common in Slovenia.
The second, pedagogical part of this diploma study presents my art workshop, its purpose and results. It contains the class planning, photographs as well as the analysis of the drawings drawn during the workshop. The time during the workshop was dedicated to imaginary motives, where we were also able to talk about the role of a drawing in the past and present.
The purpose of this diploma study is to present the relationship between drawings and motives, while figuring out, which motives are more common in drawings in Slovene history, which motives dominate in the modern drawing, as well as to present a plan on how to realize this in art workshops.
