In this thesis vector control of permanent magnet synchronous machine is presented, with the main scope in an upgrade of classical control with repetitive controller. Basic explanations are given for permanent magnet synchronous machine, inverter, classic PID control and for the main topic – repetitive control. Additionally, calculation of speed from position in four different ways and calculation of acceleration (in also four different ways) is presented. The mechanical part is described briefly, likewise associated electronics.
Modes of operation are described next. There are also described ways of minimizing consequences of cogging torque with usage of repetitive controller. Further comparison among modes of operation is done and the merit of repetitive control in free run is explained. Simulation of periodical load is added, too. In the end the limitations and practical implementation of repetitive controller are explained.
