The goal of the thesis is to present the preparation of the object list for the emergency light, present the structure of the technical documentation and perform and in-depth analysis of the technical quality of the emergency light GR310 – 15 L.
Special attention was paid to describing the basic rules for certifying products, slowly but steadily introducing the reader to the contents of this thesis. Also described in detail, is the process of compliance assessment where we divide the processes into modules. There are 16 such modules and each of them is presented to the reader in a comprehensive manner.
The technical quality analysis includes describing the processes of compliance with regard to the directives and regulations. The thesis discusses the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) which enables the electric equipment, designed for use within certain voltage limits, to be sold on the market. Also presented in the thesis, are the harmonized standards which are – according to the in-depth analysis – one of the possible standards governing compliance assessment. In terms of harmonized standards, the same holds true for the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC). Also discusses in the thesis are the RoHS, WEEE directives and the packaging and packaging waste regulation.
The object list for the emergency light was designed on the basis of the detailed description of the processes for the preparation of object lists.
The technical documentation includes the instruction manual and the manual for the installation and operation of the GR310 – 15 L emergency light. Listed therein, are the technical characteristics of the emergency light.
The technical quality analysis presents the sum total of all knowledge described and represents a sort of a link between my hypothesis and the actual state of the methods and standards used in compliance assessment.
