This thesis deals with automation of a line for grain transport, which was carried out for the Slovenian company. Programming of a PLC and implementation of a supervisory system were carried out.
The first part deals with presentation of control equipment with communication protocols and programming software that were used for making the control system.
In the second part there is a detailed description of the system itself with described steps of making control and supervisory systems. The specific of the work was mainly the correct execution of device handling (chain functionality) and mutual operation control between individual sections. Complete logic is being executed on a PLC meanwhile supervisory system is only an interface between user a and the machine, through which the user controls and monitors the system.
