The thesis addresses creation and use of two user interfaces for security systems of the security company VTZ d.o.o; a simulator of an input/output device used in building alarm systems and a monitoring application for fire detectors. In the first part of the thesis I explain some functions of security systems, with special emphasis on fire detectors. In the second part I elaborate on the tools I used in the process of making the project for this thesis. In the third part I elucidate both user interfaces in detail. Both user interfaces are a part of a cover aplication which doubles as a partial central simulator for testing purposes.
The simulator of the input/output device is based on a graphic representation of the actual device. It relays information about the button pressed and displays incoming information in a small display in two rows, containing up to 16 characters each.
The monitoring application for fire detectors displays a maximum of 99 devices in up to 16 loops, and is user friendly, as demanded.
I wrote the code for this application and tested its functionality. It is herewith ready for integration into the CNS Vitez system.
