Laboratory furnace is designed for all types of heat treatment of metal and non-metallic materials. It can be set in a laboratory or in areas where production takes place.
In this thesis we took measurements of the distribution temperature of the furnace’s working surface. For the measurements we used two types of laboratory furnaces from the Slovenian manufacturer Bosio. The first furnace was TIP EUP-K 6/1200 and the second TIP EUP-K 20/1200.
Measurement results were obtained from six calibrated thermocouples, which were spread over the chamber. In the experiment, we used one thermocouple manufacturer Isotech 14948/4, which is stiff and five thermocouples manufacturer Elpro that are flexible.
The analysis was performed on both furnaces at temperatures of 550 ° C, 600 ° C, 700 ° C, 800 ° C, 900 ° C and 1000 ° C. The furnace TYPE EUP-K 20/1200, we also made horizontal measurements at temperatures of 500 ° C, 800 ° C and 1000 ° C.
The measurement results showed a large discrepancy at the door and a lot of homogeneity. According to the results we can see that the furnace TIP EUP-K 20/1200 is better because it provides better homogeneity, but due to its chamber size worse stability.
