The Bachelor's thesis consists of study of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive
2010/31/EU together with the implementation of its claims in the Slovenian legislation and
the analysis of actions to reach minimum demands for new buildings and major renovations,
considering an excising structure. Described in the Directive are the goals and demands,
which include the increase for nearly-zero energy buildings until 2020. The thesis includes the
presentation and analysis of 5 reasonable and feasible actions which result in the decrease of
the amount of needed energy for heating, cooling and hot water preparations. By a
combination of suggested actions, an energetically ineffective structure can be renovated into
a structure with high energetic efficiency.
Furthermore an analysis of four potential examples of new buildings was conducted with the
orientation and dimensions of the structures remained fixed. By comparing the energy balance
we are able to determine the efficiency of certain actions and the differences in potential of
the energetic efficiency due to different time of construction.
The analysis of actions was conducted with the help of TOST software, which enables the
calculation of the energy balance in accordance to Pravilnik o učinkoviti rabi energije v
stavbah taking into account SIST EN ISO 13790 and TSG-1-004:2010.
