In the graduation thesis the boundaries of land use and land cover have been determined
first by terrain work and second by data acquisition from GIS spatial data layers. The aim
was to determine the difference in the interpretation of the results acquired from different
methodologies of spatial data acquisition. For this purpose we have chosen the test area,
which included various types of land cover. We used GNSS method to determine the position
of the characteristic points of the boundaries between the areas of different types of land
cover. The same points were identified on the last recent national orthophoto. Finally, results
were compared with land use records data from the Ministry of the agriculture, forestry and
food.
