This diploma thesis explores the constructivist approach to teaching safe use of the internet, which involves pupils reviewing the study material on their own at home and then using the attained knowledge in the classroom. A comparison was made between the above presented inverse teaching method and the traditional one. The traditional teaching method emphasizes the quantity of the attained knowledge, while the quality remains slightly neglected. This topic was selected precisely because I believe that in education, such importance should not be placed on quantity, but rather on quality. I believe that this could be achieved with the constructivist approach, where the pupils review the material at home. The results of my analysis show that in a classroom, a majority of pupils prefer taking an active role instead of the role of a passive listener.
