In the final construction work, the essential requirements (mechanical resistance, hygiene and health protection and environmental protection, fire safety, safety in use, protection against noise, energy saving and heat retention) for wood construction products were analyzed and explained. Among all wood products, being among the products in the final construction contract, we focused most on the windows. We reviewed the requirements to be met by windows and examined relevant characteristics of wood to meet these requirements. Among the domestic manufacturers of windows, the comparative performance of the primary requirements for quality was evaluated. The largest deviations were found in waterproof, other differences were not significant.
