When heating the floors of caravans, it is customary to use the water heating system nowadays. Due to the high price of aluminium metal sheets, in-built in the produce mentioned, we researched the quality of gluing between the used metal sheet and the other material. A composite, which is similar to the floors of the caravans in its structure, has been made. It was composed of 2 poplar plywoods, extruded polystyrene (Styrofoamr XPS), aluminium metal sheet and polyurethane adhesive (Icemar r 145/12) as a bonding link. The test pieces of 50 mm x 50 mm were tested on the tearing machine Zwick Z100 according to standard SIST EN 319:1996. The bond strength and percentage of the split of aluminium sheet surface was thoroughly studied. It has been concluded that it is most appropriate to use the unperforated aluminium sheet with the applied primer, hereby it is not necessary to additionally moisten it with water mist. Such new aluminium sheet is more reasonably priced if compared to the exisitng one.
