In the first part of my diploma thesis I described the function of the surveying work in the construction of the facility. As my task was to describe the construction of a new railway track, the entire thesis is focused on the presentation of such constructions. Having participated in the project myself, I paid specific attention to the implementation of the surveying work during the whole process in construction of the facility (mainly stakeout). Whereas there is a direct correlation between construction and surveying, I concluded my thesis with some construction work, which the surveyor must be familiar with to be able to carry out their job.
