The main intention of this diploma work was to present the remediation of the landslide in the Planina pod Golico village, located within Jesenice community. Unstable slope heavily damaged approx. 45 metres long part of the local road which is the only connection to Jesenice in winter months. There are location, road damage, basic dimensions of the landslide and temporary rehabilitation of the road, built 8 years ago, presented in the beginning of the thesis.
In the continuation of this thesis the material properties of soils and rocks are described, based on geotechnical studies of four probe holes. What is more, there is also information about the level of groundwater in this particular area. The acquired data from probe holes were used as the basis for feedback analysis, through which we were searching for more exact reasons for the landslide. The analysis contains two possible variants to trigger an avalanche. First one is: a low level of groundwater and poor material properties followed by a high level of groundwater and improved material properties. Modern software-program Slide 6.0 was used for research. From the results of the feedback analysis and the geodetic plan, the proposed recovery plan was made. It suggests reinforced concrete retaining wall on the upper side of the road and an anchored pile wall on the lower side in order to provide global stability of the slope. Calculated dimensions were carried out in accordance with the standards of Eurocode 7.
In conclusion, there is a description of global security of this area after redevelopment and what is more, the thesis also suggests some additional measures to improve its stability. Among these measures belong also draining of the water and reforestation of the affected area.
