The thesis addresses the problem of water preparation and optimization of its use in remote locations such as mountain huts and other buildings that are not connected to the main sewage system. Many of these facilities, use the rainwater as the primary source of water, some of them have their own water supply. This water is used for various purposes, so it should be divided up accordingly to its use. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the different types of water (potable, gray and black water), the process of producing the drinking water, rainwater systems and gray water recycling. In the practical part of the thesis, the regulation of water use in the mountain hut on Kamniško Sedlo is presented. The primary source of
water in the hut is the rainwater.
