In this thesis I have described the procedure of international intercomparison for calibration of the radiation thermometer. Requirements for the intercoparison are written in the international standard SIST EN ISO/IEC 17043:2010.
Thesis describer the procedure of the Laboratory of Metrology and Quality (LMK), based on international standard SIST EN ISO/IEC 17043:2010. LMK is the national standard laboratory for thermodynamic temperature and organizes intercomparisons or proficiency testings (PT) with the objective to offer other laboratories additional means to assess their ability of competent performance either for the purpose of the assessment by accreditation bodies or for their internal quality assurance process.
Described intercomparison was launched in autumn 2014, with sending the invitations to the calibration laboratories in the region. After that it was necessary to write a protocol of the intercomparison and send it to interested laboratories. Before the start of intercomparison the radiation thermometer Minolta Cyclops 300AF was calibrated at LMK. It was necessary to organize the delivery to the participants and provide ATA CARNET documentation. The first participant – Metroteka Zagreb received the thermometer in October 2014 and carried out calibration. After finishing the calibration the instrument was sent to the next participant – Faculty of Physics in Belgrade. Due to customs complications instrument arrived in Belgrade in December 2014. At the end of December the instrument was returned to LMK and the final calibration was carried out.
After receiving results of the participants, they were statistically analyzed and ilustrated in the graphs. The essence of the result is the En number. At both participants the absolute value of the En number was less than 1, which means that the participants successfully carried out measurements and therefore proficiency testing, which represents a basis for accreditation of their calibration measurement capabilities.
