In the course of my thesis I will intend to develop a battery-charged weather station, as small as possible in size. This weather station will be able to perform as an independent product or it could be used for example in closed places as a part of smart house systems. In both cases one will be able to access its measured data anytime also via smart devices which support Bluetooth of the 4th generation – BLE. Besides the small dimensions my aim will be to develop a product with the smallest energy consumption.
My project demands knowledge from hardware circuit planning and from programming in (at least) two software languages. I will use C and C++ for hardware and Java for mobile application in Android. Only by using both these software languages one is able to get a functional unit which does what it is supposed to do.
In the beginning I will describe the development process regarding hardware. I will state the causes which led me to all the bigger changes of the circuit. Later on I will continue describing the parts of the product, one by one. So that the readers do not get bored, I will focus just on the point of every subject.
I wrote my thesis in the way that allows one to make the same product and also warns one of the possible problems on which one could stumble.
The presented product is far from being final. This is why I will conclude my diploma with possible upgrades on which I plan to work in the future.
