Diploma thesis was made in collaboration with the Kolektor Group d.o.o., Department of Electronics and Drives. The subject of the thesis is development and implementation of electrical circuit for magnetic rotary encoder.
In the first part, various types of encoders are introduced, with their main characteristics and fields of use. There is a wide variety of encoders.
In the main part of the thesis, there are detailed descriptions of magnetic rotary encoder components and it's construction. It is made from converter circuit that consists of basic electronic components and position sensor circuit. Finally, the resulting printed circuit board, simulation with LTspice program, design and 3D model are described.
Last part contains measurements made on the laboratory prototype of the encoder. With these measurements the encoder functionality and previous simulations were tested. And last, demands and problems during development of the electronic circuit are described.
