In the article deals with the ways how the reality of images about work before the enrolment into educational programme influence the vocational motivation, vocational identification and self-perception of vocation's prestige. Argumentation is built on the idea that individual person chooses the vocational path that he/she sees as the most appropriate for him/her at the moment of enrolment. In this sense the element of "suitability of vocational expectations" is strongly connected with individual's personal characteristics and also with the external factors, which lead individual on the vocational path. At the end of the article the author reflects the known theoretical starting points that the suitability of vocational ideas and the good choice of vocation positively influence the work efficiency and satisfaction at work.
