It was researched how the blending factor and the size of particles influence the blending level. Using the image analysis it was described which particle sizes and which blending degree contain more glue. To distinct better the blended - red colored from non blended areas of particles a special pigment was added to the gluue; then the samples were placed under the fluoroscent light. To define areas of the whole parts and those of the blended ones the images, obtained by a digital camera and a microscope, were processed using computer programme for picture analysis. The level of the blended particles was calculated at different blending levels. It was found out that at higher blending levels and larger size particles the blending is higher. Usage of the image analysis helped us to observe how the glue was spread upon the particles; smaller were practically poured all over, while bigger particles had glue spread in spots.
