Načrtovanje in izdelava animiranega videospota za himno Mladinskega centra Vič

Namen magistrskega dela je bil podrobneje se poglobiti v nam poprej popolnoma neznano področje animacije ter se naučiti izdelati animacijo, ki bo služila določenemu namenu. Cilj magistrskega dela je bil ustvariti animirani videospot (v nadaljevanju animacija) za himno mladinskega centra Vič (v nadaljevanju MC Vič). Pri izdelavi smo morali biti pozorni, da je vsebina animacije v skladu z vrednotami MC Vič ter se navezuje na besedilo himne. Prav tako pa je sama animacija poudarila pomen mladinskega dela in poskrbela za njegovo večjo prepoznavnost. V eksperimentalnem delu smo analizirali delovanje MC Vič, njegovo celostno grafično podobo (v nadaljevanju CGP), vsebino himne ter podrobneje spoznali mladinsko delo in njegov namen. Prav tako pa smo se poglobili v teoretično ozadje animacije, kjer smo spoznali faze izdelave animacije ter podrobneje obravnavali promocijsko in 2D računalniško animacijo. Na podlagi zbranih izhodišč in pridobljenega znanja smo zasnovali koncept animacije, izdelali idejne skice ter snemalno knjigo s svinčnikom in barvicami na papir. O idejah in pozneje snemalni knjigi smo se posvetovali tudi z zaposlenimi in prostovoljci v MC Vič. Na podlagi snemalne knjige smo na računalniku izrisali elemente animacije ter izdelali animatik in navsezadnje animirani videospot. Proces je potekal postopno, skladno s fazami produkcije animacije in na podlagi teoretičnih osnov, ki smo jih usvojili, ter analiz, ki smo jih izvedli. Pri izvedbi animacije smo upoštevali temeljna načela animacijske produkcije, zakonitosti promocijske animacije ter želje naročnika. Rezultat magistrskega dela je končni animirani videospot, ki je vsebinsko in vizualno skladen s podobo in vrednotami MC Vič. Kadri so pozorno umeščeni in so skladni z besedilom in ritmom himne. Animacija posreduje sporočilo himne MC Vič, njihove temeljne vrednote in identiteto, primerna pa je tudi za promocijo mladinskega dela, saj združuje informativnost in vizualno privlačnost.

Izvleček

The purpose of this master’s thesis was to delve more deeply into the field of animation, which was previously completely unfamiliar to us, and to learn how to create an animation that would serve a specific purpose. The goal of this master’s thesis was to create an animated music video (hereinafter referred to as the animation) for the anthem of the Vič Youth Center (hereinafter referred to as YC Vič). During production, we had to ensure that the content of the animation aligned with the values of YC Vič and related to the lyrics of the anthem. Furthermore, the animation itself highlighted the importance of youth work and helped raise its profile. In the experimental part, we analysed the operations of YC Vič, its overall graphic identity (hereinafter referred to as CVI), and the lyrics of its anthem, and gained a deeper understanding of its youth work and its purpose. We also delved into the theoretical background of animation, where we learned about the stages of animation production and explored promotional and 2D computer animation. Based on the gathered insights and acquired knowledge, we designed the animation concept, created storyboards, and produced a storyboard book using pencil and coloured pencils on paper. We also consulted with the staff and volunteers at YC Vič regarding the ideas and, later, the storyboard book. Based on the storyboard, we drew the animation elements on the computer, created an animatic, and finally produced the animated video. The process proceeded step by step, in accordance with the phases of animation production and based on the theoretical foundations we had acquired and the analyses we had conducted. In creating the animation, we took into account the fundamental principles of animation production, the conventions of promotional animation, and the client’s wishes. The result of the master’s thesis is a final animated music video that is thematically and visually consistent with the image and values of YC Vič. The shots are carefully composed and align with the lyrics and rhythm of the anthem. The animation conveys the message of the YC Vič anthem, its core values, and identity, and is also suitable for promoting youth work, as it combines informativeness with visual appeal.
