In this thesis, noise measurements were conducted at the two most frequently visited shopping centers in Ljubljana, namely CITYPARK and ALEJA. Using the obtained values, it was determined whether visitors to these two shopping centers were exposed to harmful noise levels during our visit. Measurements were taken on multiple occasions, as I was interested in changes in noise levels at different times of the day. Measurements were conducted on one weekday and one weekend day at each of the shopping centers. Based on the measured data, a comparison was made of noise exposure during the afternoon and morning hours, as well as between weekdays and weekends. Based on the data obtained, it was found that during shopping hours, we are exposed to higher noise levels in the afternoon and during weekend shopping, as the number of visitors to shopping centers increases at those times. The higher noise levels observed in the afternoon and on weekends in shopping malls pose an increased risk to workers, precisely during periods of peak workload. This directly affects their health, safety, and well-being. The data were also compared with the recommended noise level values from the National Institute of Public Health. In cases where the values were exceeded, potential measures were presented to limit or even prevent any negative health effects of noise.
