The dataset contains research data, instruments, and documentation from a usability study of the first, web-based version of ZVEJA, a multilingual healthcare application designed to support healthcare professionals in communicating with patients who do not speak Slovene. Data were collected between January and May 2026 through simulated clinical encounters at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Ljubljana. The study involved 61 third-year undergraduate nursing students, who alternated between the roles of healthcare professional, patient, and observer. Following the simulations, they participated in a guided debriefing and completed the mHealth App Usability Questionnaire (MAUQ).
The data publication includes bilingual research instruments and documentation, anonymised quantitative data from the observation sheets and the MAUQ, an analysis workbook containing descriptive statistics and internal consistency calculations for the MAUQ, and Slovene and English summaries of the thematic analysis of the debriefing sessions. Audio recordings and full transcripts of the debriefing sessions, signed informed consent forms, and demographic data that could facilitate participant identification are not included. Pilot data collected in December 2025 were excluded from the final analytical sample but are retained in the MAUQ analysis workbook for transparency.
The dataset may be used for methodological comparisons, the development of research instruments, and the design of related studies on multilingual healthcare communication, simulation-based education, and training in the use of language technologies.
