This article deals with the views of Slovenian, Croatian, and Serbian literary historians from 1882 to 2006 on the emotional nature of the Slovenian poet Simon Gregorčič. Gregorčič’s sensitivity and emotionality originates from his pure soul and gentle and noble heart. Three images intertwine in his personality: man, poet, and priest. The contradictions in him arose from many coincidences and idiosyncrasies of his nature.
