In the virgin forest Krokar on the southeast part of the mountain Borovška gora the measurements of young seedlings have been repeated in five gaps on the site Isopyro-Fagetum with a purpose to get a good preview in regeneration dynamics during the years 1999-2009. The first measurements have been done in the year 1999 and later repeated in the year 2003. In the year 2009 similar methodology has been used, exept some new parameters which are related to the evaluation of dominant trees have been added. Ground coverage, density, quality, demage of woody regeneration and the age of fallen gap trees has been measured. At first the results have been compared between the gaps and later between the lite strata. Strata have been chosen regarding the combination of diffuse and direct light, which has been recorded in 2003. Our analysis showed that the density of higher young beech trees has increased. Over the years beech is gaining on the sites with a lot of diffused light in the central parts of the gaps, where there is less competition of Allium ursinum. The density of sycamore decreases with age, which is a result of game browsing and lower tolerance to poor lightning conditions. It has been found that all the research gaps were caused by the gradual death of the
