In this thesis, by interviewing farmers on the Ljubljana Marsh, we tried to find connections between the rearing of graminivore animals and nature conservation measures implemented on the grassland, as this marsh is considered an area of high natural value. In addition, for the years 2021, 2022 and 2023, we analyzed data from official records obtaing from the agency on the inclusion of farms in the selected agricultural environment measures and characteristics of farms in the area of six municipalities. Fourty-eight farmers from the entire area of Ljubljana Marsh, who raised cattle on the dominant meadow forage, were included in the interview. From the interviews, we found that participation in agrienvironmental measures is low (12%) and that larger farms enter them, in a way, on the one hand, they grow high-quality fodder on intensively cultivated areas, while allocating poorer ones to nature conservation grassland measures. We also found that the production aspect of agricultural activity dominates among farmers, while at the same time advocating orderly management of the landscape. The analysis of data from official agency records for 2023 showed that the most farms and the most land are included in the agri-environmental measure Special grassland habitat and the least in the Grassland butterfly habitat measure. The participation of farms in grassland nature conservation measures also depended on the activities of local agricultural advisory services in the municipalities, and among them the municipality of Vrhnika stood out the most.
