Socka is a smaller settlement in the municipality of Vojnik, sharing its name with deeply incised valley of the Hudinja river in the Vitanje Karavanke. The area is part of the isolated karst, belonging to the Paško-Konjiško karst unit, where karst landforms have not yet been described in detail. The aim of this thesis was to perform a geomorphological analysis of the Socka canyon. To achieve this, we reviewed the professional literature on the area in question and literature on karst, with a focus on canyons and fluviokarst valleys, created a geomorphological map based on fieldwork, and then conducted a morphographic, morphometric, morphogenetic, and morphostructural analysis and synthesis of results. The Socka canyon was identified as a typical canyon formed with antecedence. Within the study area, karst and fluvial relief is intertwined. Karst terrain is predominant, but it also varies, as different types of karst have developed, namely deep, shallow, and fluviokarst. On the slopes, fluviokarst has developed, which in some places intertwines with deep karst. Each type of karst is characterized by its typical karst landforms, with erosional gullies being the most common.
