This thesis addresses the deep foundation of a large commercial building in Koper, situated in an area characterized by a thick layer of marine clay and silt overlying a flysch substratum. Due to unfavourable geotechnical conditions, deep foundation using reinforced concrete piles was selected. The thesis presents the geotechnical investigations and compares the calculated pile bearing capacities with those measured in the field. The comparison revealed that the calculated pile capacities exceed the measured values, which were determined through dynamic testing.
