My thesis consists of two parts. The first part presents my original text In ostane moj najljubši del noči (And It Remains My Favorite Part of the Night) while the second part offers a dramaturgical analysis of Pascal Rambert’s Clôture de l’amour (Zapiranje ljubezni). Rambert’s play, with its uninterrupted monologic structure and absence of classical plot, is a striking example of postdramatic writing, where language becomes the sole space of action. The analysis explores how form, rhythm, the physicality of speech, and the fluidity of time generate an intense theatrical experience, erasing boundaries between past and present. In the comparative section, I examine the parallels between Rambert’s text and my own, particularly in their use of monologic form, fragmented narrative, and the exploration of intimacy as a medium for expressing universal themes of vulnerability, solitude, and the elusive nature of love.
