In this thesis, we have shown the productivity of Texel sheep in Slovenia. The data was obtained from the Central Database of Small Ruminants. It was included 383 purebred Texel lambs of both sexes from different litter sizes, of six different breeders, from years 2005 to 2025 (except for 2011), born from the first to the ninth parity. The average values for traits of lambs were: birth weight 3.91 kg, body weight at weaning (at the second weighing) 17.49 kg, daily weight gain 209.19 g/day, and age at weaning (at the second weighing) 65.72 days. Results was obtained by preparing the data and performing statistical analysis using the SAS program. Birth weight and weaning weight were significantly affected by the sex, litter size, parity, the breeder, and the birth year of the lambs. The daily gain was significantly affected by the sex, litter size, breeder, and year of birth. Male lambs were heavier than female lambs at birth and at weaning and had higher daily gains. Lambs from smaller litters had a higher birth weight than lambs from larger litters.
