As part of this Bachelor’s thesis we attempted the synthesis of triazolium salts from triazenes. In the first phase we used sterically hindered anilines to get starting triazenes. The obtained products were then further used in the second phase, transformation into the corresponding triazolium salts. We used 2,6-diisopropyl aniline as model substrate, which was transformed into N,N'-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)triazene with the addition of isopentyl nitrite. The obtained product was purified with recrystallization and further used to be converted into triazolium salt with selected alkyne, thereby obtaining the final product. Our goal was to also optimize the given reaction and approach the target yield of at least 60%
