The use of pedagogical devices is a very common approach to understanding complex physical processes. Balancing large water turbines also falls under this procedure, since the balancing itself is carried out at the power plant, where there is no room for error. In this thesis the process of constructing the device and using the graphical balancing method is examined. It present how we approached a real case with the pedagogical device and included all the elements that complicate the balancing process at the power plant. We also covered individual calculations of the structure integrity and calculations of dynamic loads that occur under different load conditions. The work also contains a demonstration of the use of the graphical method and the end results of balancing.
