As part of our thesis, we developed a system for preparing coffee drinks using the DOBOT CR3 collaborative robot. At the beginning, we performed an analysis of the existing module with the DOBOT CR3 robot and its characteristics. We then analyzed the market for coffee machines and selected the appropriate one based on the working area of the robot, the size of the work table, and the complexity of the control system, which is directly related to the complexity of the automation. We then analyzed the process of preparing coffee drinks using the selected coffee machine and broke it down into elementary processes that are the basis for automating the process. We then determined the operations that the collaborative robot had to perform, and we designed the appropriate gripper and feeder for their execution. We programmed the robot and compared the time it took to prepare coffee drinks automatically and manually.
