Jazz akademija Kranj : sinergija prostora in zvoka

Magistrsko delo združuje prostorske potrebe Glasbene šole Kranj in obstoječega lokalnega programa Jazz Kamp festivala skozi vidik akustike v arhitekturi. Namen projekta je razviti arhitekturno rešitev, ki ne podpira le pedagoške dejavnosti, temveč tudi širše kulturno udejstvovanje v povezavi z jazz glasbo. Za boljše razumevanje akustične problematike v prostoru smo razvili orodje, ki omogoča sistematično obdelavo akustike na treh merilih: merilo urbanizma, arhitekture in detajla. Delo predpostavlja širitev glasbene šole na območju Pungarta, na južnem delu starega centra Kranja, v tesni povezavi z okoliškim jazz festivalom. Širitev je zasnovana s pomočjo akustičnega orodja, ki nam je določalo ključne parametre zasnove: od umestitve v urbani kontekst prek oblikovanja arhitekture do posameznih detajlov. Na ta način projekt akustiko v arhitekturi obdela celostno in kvalitetno. Poudarek je na ustvarjanju prostorov, ki so akustično optimizirani za izvajanje glasbe, pri čemer se upošteva specifične potrebe jazz glasbe. Hkrati pa umeščanje arhitekture v prostor z oblikovanjem fasade prostoru izboljša tudi zunanje akustične lastnosti. Z uporabo orodja magistrsko delo ponuja metodološki pristop k načrtovanju arhitekture s poudarkom na akustiki.

Izvleček

The thesis combines the needs of the existing Kranj music school and the local program of the Jazz Kamp festival trough, the lens of architectural acoustics. The goal of the project is to develop an architectural solution, that not only supports pedagogical activities but also contributes to broader local cultural programs, related to jazz music. To better understand the acoustic challenges in architecture, we developed a tool that allows for systemic design of acoustics across three architectural scales: On the scales of urbanism, architecture and detail. The project assumes the expansion of the existing music school in the Pungart area, on the southern edge of the old town center of Kranj in close connection with the surrounding jazz festival. The expansion is designed using the acoustic tool, which determined the key parameters of our design: from placement in the urban context, trough architectural design to individual details. In this way, the project addresses acoustics in architecture comprehensively. The focus is on creating spaces that are acoustically optimized for music performance, while taking into account the specific needs of Jazz music. At the same time, the integration of the architecture into the urban context with the design of its facade enhances the quality of external acoustics. By utilizing this tool, the thesis offers a methodological approach to architectural design with an emphasis on acoustics.
