The Štemarje area in Škofja Loka, a kind of gray zone, which is currently dominated by parking areas, has much greater potential than it currently shows. The location is located in the immediate vicinity of the old city center, which also affects its development. The development of the area primarily regulates the connection between the old city center in the south and the developing area in the north. The connecting route is supported by the located or relocated programs and activities along it. The goal of the development was to adapt, renovate and/or supplement the existing facilities on the site, without drastic interventions in this historically rich part of medieval Škofja Loka. A large part of the program is already present in the area today, but is located in a way that does not serve the functioning of the area within the city. The garden settlement in the north of the development area is an extension of the Partizanska cesta nad ježo residential area, in which the block is located, and in front of it are communal gardens. Next to the block, on the site of the former market, a ground-floor building has been erected, which houses a local shop and repair shop intended for the residents of the block and the Partizanska cesta settlement. The ground floor and first floor of the former library building are community workspaces, while the Arnol office building, which stands opposite it, has shops on the ground floor that open onto the expanded path, and business premises on the first floor. The expansion opens up a park that is a continuation of the city park and represents a green oasis in the city. An underground parking garage with two skylights, visible in the park, has been removed under the park. A new bus stop with a canopy is attached to the existing Arnol building, relocated from its existing location at the entrance to the old city center by the Sora River. A reconstructed pavilion design in the original form of the former bus stop has been erected on the site of the former bus stop. It houses the craft center, which has been relocated from its current, too small premises in the old city center, and on the other side of the building is a café with a view of the city's scenery. In front of the pavilion, a square has been created for events, so the basement of the pavilion houses a storage room for props and equipment needed for holding events.
