Master’s thesis studies the meaning of corporate social responsibility in the context of finding employment and choosing the employer. The thesis deals with the social construct of corporate social responsibility, which is becoming a very important factor in successful business operations and efficient attraction and retention of employees in today’s modern society. The complexity of today’s modern society and substantive flood of information contribute to companies’ ambition to distance themselves from competition in the process of finding new employees and therefore position themselves in a certain way in the eyes of job seekers. The knowledge of possible socially responsible practices, methods and business intentions can be of key importance when choosing the right employer. Corporate social responsibility is known as an expression, which is connected with different varieties of conceptualizations but on the other hand, it is an important factor of all job-search participants, including employees and future employees. The empirical part of the thesis analyses the social responsibility impacts and perceived external prestige of a certain company on intention to seek employment, in which case we determine the role of both factors when choosing preferred company in the process of seeking employment and intention of accepting a job offer among random sample of 116 people.
