The thesis presents the determination of data for the layout plan of reinforcement of an intermediate floor slab in a mixed-use building. The thesis is divided into three steps: determining the bending moments, calculating the required reinforcement, and drawing the reinforcement layout. The bending moments are first determined analytically using design tables of Hahn for the design of rectangular slabs. The calculated results are compared with the results obtained from the SAP2000 software. In the second step, the calculation of the required reinforcement is shown, first analytically, and then using SAP2000. In both steps, the results are compared and evaluated. In the final step, the reinforcement plan is sketched based on recommendation from available literature and on the results from SAP2000. A more detailed reinforcement plan is also prepared, considering the dimensions of the reinforcement meshes as available on the market and the appropriate mesh overlaps. A sample of such plans is available to the interested reader in Appendix 1.
