In this thesis, I studied the influence of temperature on the photocatalytic efficiency of TiO2 in the degradation of an organic pollutant, specifically the dye Plasmocorinth B. The purpose of the research was to determine the temperature at which TiO$_2$, as a photocatalyst, achives optimal efficiency. The experimental work included measurements of dye absorbance over time with UV-Vis spectrophotometer and total organic carbon (TOC) at four different temperatures: 25 °C, 44 °C, 60 °C in 75 °C. The results showed that 60 °C is the optimal temperature for dye degadation while also enabling effective mineralization of organic compounds. The study findings confirm the potential of TiO2 for wastewater treatment application with azo dyes, contributing to the development of sustainable solutions and enviromental technology.
