Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is increasingly important in modern society, as it involves a reciprocal relationship between companies and their stakeholders, such as employees, suppliers, the local community, and the broader society. Environmental pollution, processed food, and deteriorating eating habits are driving consumers to choose healthier options and encouraging greater awareness about the different uses of products and services. CSR can also serve as a means of guiding large companies and, consequently, individuals, as the concept extends across multiple areas and aligns with sustainable development. In my master's thesis, I explore the concept of corporate social responsibility, with a focus on the integration of a company within the local community. The subject of the research is the impact of CSR on the company and the environment, with a particular focus on Kmetijska zadruga Tolmin. In the theoretical part, I examine how companies invest in relationships with employees, the local population, and the environment, and how they align with sustainable development. The empirical part uses the interview method. I conducted interviews with the director, employees, local entrepreneurs, and residents to gain insight into the functioning of Kmetijska zadruga Tolmin and its impact on the local community. The research also focuses on broader literature and the specific situation in Slovenia, identifying areas of activity and the positive effects of CSR on the local environment.
