The purpose of this master's thesis titled »Designing Urban Collection Cyatt« was to design a collection, produce it, and make a virtual fashion show. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical and experimental part. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the presentation of the science fiction era of cyberpunk which has experienced a great rise in popularity through the last decade due to various television shows and films. They feature a dystopian future, robots, and the dominance of large corporations and the wealthy, which is also described in more detail.
In addition to cyberpunk, 3D fashion design and brands that step into the digital world are also presented. The theoretical part ends with a brief description of the website called Adobe Mixamo and Blender software which were used to animate the collection.
The experimental part is devoted to the explanation of the target group, inspiration, and the creation of sketches. Each silhouette is presented with references and inspiration. The selection of colors, materials, and lineup is also presented. The experimental part continues with a presentation of technical sketches and a fashion editorial of the collection, in which there are images of physical and digital collections. It ends with a presentation of images of the virtual fashion show.
The process of creating the collection with Clo3D is presented in the attachment where the process of animating silhouettes in Blender and Adobe Mixamo is also described.
