The goal of this thesis is to analyze the potential use of artificial intelligence in the development process and to design an AI-powered assistant to expedite and optimize development. We tested this application using the example of developing a lighting accessory for a vacuum cleaner head, where we identified a need for affordable solutions. The accessory improves visibility during cleaning without the need to purchase new, expensive vacuum cleaners. The methodology included a review of AI patent search engines, market analysis, specification determination, and concept generation using ChatGPT. Using knowledge and guidelines from the development process, we identified and designed the most suitable form of assistant to simplify and accelerate the development process as much as possible. We then analyzed and compared the results provided by the assistant. Finally, we reviewed tools that enable the generation of 3D CAD models from images. We then analyzed and compared the results.
