In the assignment, we delve into modern cinematographic representations through the lens of a woman's perspective. We analyze his presence and performance in selected films of the last five years. In our analysis, we draw on feminist film theory, examine how male and female filmmakers portray gender dynamics, sexuality, and power structures, and offer nuanced depictions of women's experiences. Key themes include understanding socio-cultural gender, the male gaze, feminist waves and the representation of women's desires, and the subversion of external stereotypes. In the assignment, with the help of analysis of specific cases and certain criteria, we investigate the success of using the female perspective. Through the analysis of the films, we want to show that the female gaze offers a transformative perspective, challenges the traditional norm and encourages a better inclusion of the cinematic landscape. In the assignment, we emphasize the potential of the female perspective in promoting more inclusive and fairer representations of gender. We do not exclude the possible failure of the female gaze. By critically dealing with the ways in which women are represented and empowered on screen today, we emphasize the importance of cinema as a medium for social and cultural change.
